For SMEs

Know where you stand before the insurer asks.

Cyber applications ask detailed questions about controls most small businesses have never written down. PrismX walks you through them in plain English, shows what is missing, and helps you prove what is in place.

When you are ready, you sign one submission pack and send it to your insurer. Your profile then stays current, so next year’s renewal starts from evidence, not a blank form.

PrismX prepares risk information. Insurers decide eligibility, pricing, coverage and claims. PrismX is not the underwriter or a broker.

What gets in the way today

  1. Questions you cannot answer with confidence

An application asks about MFA, backups and patching in insurer language. A wrong yes can matter later, when a claim is made.

  2. No idea what matters most

A long list of controls, and no view of which gaps an underwriter treats as critical.

  3. Evidence scattered across inboxes

Policies, screenshots and training records live in different places and go out of date.

  4. A policy you have not read

Cover, limits and conditions are written for lawyers. The conditions that apply during an incident are easy to miss.

What PrismX gives you

  • A readiness score you can move

A weighted share of the controls that apply to you, with partly in place counted as half. It moves as you close gaps.

  • Gaps in the right order

Underwriting-critical gaps first, each with a short reason why it matters.

  • One place for evidence

Files held in EU storage, linked to the controls they prove, verified by an advisor or the insurer.

  • A pack you sign once

Your answers, evidence references, controls and narrative in one signed PDF, sent from PrismX.

  • Your policy in plain language

Each part of the cover explained, with what matters to your business and where the gaps are.

  • Help through an incident

Coming in the pilot: a notification clock and the rules your policy sets, in the order you need them.

If the check says refer.

Most businesses see a referral the first time. It means one of the critical controls is not in place. It does not mean the end of the application.

  • Prioritise shows which gaps block the referral and why.
  • Improve gives each gap an owner and a date.
  • An advisor can be assigned to propose and verify the fixes. You choose who.

Getting started takes three steps.

No security team needed. PrismX always shows you the next thing to do, one step at a time.

  1. Step 1Register with your insurer’s code

Your insurer or broker gives you a code. Enter it, confirm your email, and your workspace is ready.

  2. Step 2Answer a few questions about your business

What you do, where you trade, the systems you use and who should be told first if something goes wrong.

  3. Step 3Follow the checklist

Getting started lists every step to a signed submission and ticks each one off as you go. The next one is marked Start here.

An advisor can be assigned to help you along the way: PrismX advisory, your broker’s technical partner or your own IT provider.

Common questions

Something else? Ask us directly.

Does PrismX decide whether we get cover?

No. PrismX prepares your risk information. The insurer decides eligibility, pricing, coverage and claims. PrismX is not the underwriter or a broker.

Do we need a security team to use it?

No. The controls are written in plain English, and an advisor from PrismX can propose actions and verify evidence for you.

Who can see our data?

Your team, the advisor assigned to you and, once you submit, the insurer. A broker sees only the businesses assigned to them. Access is enforced in the database for every row.

Can AI answer the application for us?

AI can draft a gap analysis, a summary of a document or the narrative of your submission. Every draft waits for a person to accept, edit or discard it, and nothing AI-drafted goes into a pack unreviewed.

Who fixes the gaps?

PrismX shows the gaps and tracks the fixes. The work itself is done by whoever you choose: a PrismX advisor, your broker’s technical partner or your own IT provider. Whoever does it, PrismX never prices or places cover.

What does it cost?

During the pilot there is no charge to SMEs. The cedent or MGA running the pilot covers it. Pricing after the pilot will be published before it applies to anyone.
